I'm pretty sure the 49ers organization would love to have TWO more shots at a SuperBowl title. Thats what the Steelers have...not to mention one more ring.
And using your logic, the Ravens should feel the same level of pride as the Niners - perfect record! Bah!

No because we are not comparing anyone but the 49ers and Steelers.

That is a good point for sure.
It just made me think that the Steelers have put out a good product more consistantly than the 49ers as thier Superbowls were won from back in the 70's and still continue last year.
But that 49er team was a pretty impressive bunch as they had to battle some very good competition during those years.

Well, when they start giving out Lombardi trophies for Super Bowl percentage then the Niners can celebrate and feel proud that they one-upped Pittsburgh. Until this happen, which it aint gonna, there are 6 trophies in Pittsburgh, and 5 in SF.
Math is easy.

The number of teams varied over the years but there were as many as 22 by 1921, hard times in the 30's and early 40's dropped the league to 10 teams at times during those years that's true (I didn't find 8, but I didn't check every year so you could be right).
Still 12 is more than 6. Math is easy, as a wise man once said
But if we are the subject of "impressive" then I vote for a Pittsburgh team, but not the Steelers. That the Pirates were able to win ANY championships, let alone multiple championships under the rules in baseball is incredibly impressive
