Likely a leather applique like the Bat logo was. These busts are very nice. If you have the opportunity check out the Joker first hand. Batman is also decent.

Oy! You're right, Quicksilver...I misread it as 1:1 scale. Too much egg nog, I guess.

Very happy this line expands to other Dc characters. I will get this bust for sure!

wow, he is really talented! I wonder if hes done any other work for DC? his portfolio seems to mostly have monster related stuff so he would seem like an odd choice to do Hal, but it looks great!

Too big? After all the gripes about DCD making statues and busts that are too small, it's funny to see on about a DCD piece being too big.

The Joker busty is brilliant. I passed on it when it came out, but picked one up off eBay for a decent deal after seeing it on display in a few places. The Batman bust is also nice. I passed on the Catwoman and Harly busts as they didn't work for me. I got a Superman bust that nicely goes with the Batman bust:
I'll probably pick up the GL bust since it looks quite nice but I'm not sure where I'll display it!

Looks good but $295 is way too much.

No it's not. A few years back, when the Batman bust first came out, that was also a complaint. I compared the price of that bust with other superhero busts, full size and otherwise made by other companies (SideShow etc.) and the prices were comparable.
