The difficult part of the rooms is that the Monday after the con is a National Holiday, Columbus Day. There is a huge parade through NYC and tons of tourists come for it! Don't ask me why?! 
As well as there being a few other conventions besides the CON in town at the same time!
So the hotel pricing is a fight, but I am working it out as best I can!
