You know, this is the way WWH should end.

Not with the cheesy dialogue, but with a final battle between Thor and the Hulk, the undisputed super heavyweights of the Marvel Universe.

Yea, if those were really the good ol days it was that there was not massive, multicomic, story threads in a tangle, crossovers that you need a scorebook just to figure out who is where, why and how. I remember even before that, when if you wanted all the characters together. All you need was the Beyonder to come into town and snatch them all away to some patchwork planet. And it was all done in a miniseries.

The First huge crossover I ever bought which to me is still a favorite is Fantastic Four when the FF, Inhuman, and Avengers all teamed up against the lastest version of Ultron.

Grumble, Grumble...

This is how I pictured the Hulk's first encounter with Rick Jones in WWH. I thought the Hulks first encounter with Rick in the book was too causal. He calms the Hulk down to the point that the HUlk puts his hand on Ricks shoulder and opens a door for Dr Strange to enter the Hulks mind. I thought the Hulks reaction towards anyone he would come in contact with would be portrayed like this picture. The picture is from Incredible Hulk 413 "The Troyjan War" Pencils are by Gary Frank.

I think Hulk was also reacting as much to the news of Captain America's death, knowing how close Rick was to Cap and being more of a reasoning "monster" now than before despite the murderous rage that now fuels him.
