This episode definitely is staying with me as I am finding myself thinking about it a lot this morning, and I'm really eager to see more of this season. So I guess that means it was a good episode imo. JDM appears to really relish this role. He is entirely believable too, as this complete prick character that is thoroughly entertaining to watch. His complete change of attitude when the two guns were discovered to be missing was palpable. He is all smiles and jokes until something sets him off, then it is killing time. And the way Darryl was acting was some amazing acting by Reedus using nothing but body language, without him saying a single word we could totally feel the fear, tension, resentment, confusion, etc.

Rick and the gang kill only as self defense. Negan and his gang kill to enslave the living and rule over them by fear.

I worry though that at some point the need to bring this story arc to a close with an inevitable final showdown will cause something ridiculous to happen, such as they'll "happen" upon a truck that is just sitting on the highway filled with guns and seemingly infinite ammo. I understand that they have to find some weapons if they are to fight back, but I just hope it is done right, and made somewhat believable. Maybe they can sneak into Negan's armory and get their guns back.

When Gabriel stepped out and said hello to Negan, Negan's reaction made me lol more than anything in TWD. By far, the funniest couple of lines ever recited in this show.

I think the point was made that The Saviors don't catalog their weapons the same way Alexandria does if at all. So I think they'll be getting some guns back sooner or later. Not to mention that The Kingdom or Hilltop might have a hidden cache of weapons.

as if we already don't think the saviors are a bunch of dicks. They can kill our Glenn, but they can't take our bedding and then not use it! Who's with me? Let's go get 'em!!

That's what I thought. So it's all about Negan taking away their comfort rather than any goodwill obviously.

Hmmm, I hate to see Rick in this situation but I understand his predicament, as well as Daryl --whose taking it all because he probably thinks he deserves it for Glenn's death.

Watching him getting ready to sleep on the floor was very touching. He has no fight left in him at all right now.

I sure hope we don't have to endure an entire half season of the Saviors beating down and demoralizing the other communities. There wasn't anything wrong with this last episode and I get it had to happen/be shown but it looks like next week will be more of the same only at The Hilltop. With only 3 episodes left after next week I'm crossing my fingers we start seeing some semblance of a rebellion forming before the mid-season break.

I think it's safe to say that is what's slowing simmering.

Rosita asking Eugene to build her a bullet.

Spencer expressing his displeasure with Rick's leadership (we know in the comics how this plays out with Negan).

Michonne discovering the burned mattresses and Rick asking her to turn over the rifle...

It's all going to build up to Rick meating Ezekiel by mid-season cliff hanger.

wasn't too impressed by the people of the Kingdom, I mean they seem to have their act together in the growing gardens and fruit trees category, but in the kicking butt dept. I didn't see much to be excited about. Except for the tiger and the king's bodyguard.
