DCD is OK without BD. They have a ton of talented artists that just need to be used more.

Not at all. I'm very satisfied with DCD's MB/FS production.

ok ok 15 at the most.
I think they need sideshow more than bowen.

Sorry I beg to differ. I know that we each are entitled to our own opinions, but I just would like to say that DC has more than interesting characters than Marvel. The mere scope of not only the GL Corps but the JLA, JSA, The Titans and other subgroups are enough to fill a whole room of collectibles given these characters are given the chance, the justice, the rights and the exposure to be made. Not to mention the whole line of nemesis that goes with each character is just something that boggles the mind.

I think DC doesnt quite have the lineup of Marvel's stable of characters. I mean the characters are great dont get me wrong. However, they just dont have mass market appeal.
Perhaps if Bowen were desgining these pieces in 12" - 14" scale, they would do really well with the collector's community. Not a guarantee, but something to think about.
I mean I'd be tempted to buy a gang of GL corps FS. That would be awesome...

You know what would be sweet: Nightwing museum FS, classic and modern version.

Why the demand for museum pieces?
.... oh right you want DCD and everyone else to cater to matching your existing BD collections . Honestly diversity is ok!

ok this is how i feel.. dc direct charges a average price of 195.00 for a full size pre painted statue, its like a flate rate price........im so over that. also the sculpts are okay, as of the paint jobs.........thumbs down for me i dont think they even own a air brush at dc direct..most of there statues are just flat painted no air brush tones at all. i have a lot of dc statues from dc direct, and i love there wodc bust line i have all of them, and im gonna get the cover girl line. anything else........thats it for me. i hope some day that randy bowen and the crew at bowen designs lands on dcs planet and bowen gets the dc contract.

In my opinion, DC Direct doesn't need Bowen or Sideshow. What they need is consistent art direction. Unfortunately, what they have are marketing hacks that have no aesthetic judgement whatsoever, along with spotty quality control over production (a problem more than shared by Sideshow.) They've let great artists like Paquet go, while employing "digital sculptors," who can make changes to their computer assisted "sculpts" without breaking a sweat, thereby making said marketing hacks' lives easier.
With the replacement of certain personnel, all of DC's problems could be gone in a year, but because the aforementioned personnel is a "made man" so to say, this is unlikely to happen.

They need a Senior sculptor over the line to standardize scale and the line in general. They also need more interaction with fans.
