My first was the DC Direct Dark Knight Strikes Again statue. I remember poking around eBay and being floored that someone was selling it for under $50.

Other than a couple Ultimate Marvel busts from DST, I didn't really get into the hobby until around 2009. So I really consider this my first:

My first statue was the Warner Brothers Studio Store Batman Maquette that came out in 1998. I really didn't get serious about statues until a couple years later when I ordered the Bowen Dr. Doom statue. It was all over for me from there.

I honestly don't remember what it was for me, but if I were to guess I'd say it was a Palisades Alien bust of some kind.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

I believe it wasn't Sideshow or Bowen. But a First4Figures statue of Samus from Metroid. I researched about it and shortly found Sideshow and PopCultureShock. Been hooked ever since. My 1st official Sideshow collectible was Darth Talon.
