I was being silly and duplicated the headline and article for Captain Marvel as I just can't get over just how stupid it was.
My bad. Won't happen again.
I do wonder how many dollars RDJ will be walking away with due to Endgame. He reportedly got $75M for Infinity War.

I think the only MCU movie that maybe didn't turn a profit was "Incredible Hulk" which seems to be the one film the series basically ignores.

They can't really use shots or clips from that movie, though, since Ed Norton played Bruce Banner.

While complicated and dependent on a number of different parameters, a simple rule of thumb is production budget plus marketing cost x2 to break even. This ignores the home market and blu-ray sales as well as any tax credits the film may receive.
In the case of The Incredible Hulk this works out as follows:
Production: $150M
Marketing: $75 (couldn't find a reference, but 50% of production costs is typical)
$150M + $75M = $225M x 2 = $450M
Worldwide box office was $263M so... yeah. Explains why he never got a sequel.

I thought Ed Norton was a great choice when he first got cast. Mark Ruffalo is likeable, but he has never, ever convinced me that he has any type of scientific background.

In a perfect world Edward Norton would have continued playing Bruce Banner and Emily Blunt would not have been too busy to accept the role of Black Widow.

I actually think Bana did the best job as Bruce, shame his movie was the way it was.

Agreed. MCU Banner is supposed to have something like 10 PHD's, but he comes across as a not so smart dude in my opinion.

Yeah, to me, Ruffalo comes across as the lovable dufus from some RomCom or something. Definitely not a scientific genius. I don't hate him as Banner, but there were definitely better choices for the part.
