I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

THAT is a great question. I do suspect Chad got ahead of himself when it came to this base idea and now it's more trouble than it had to ever be worth.

I was getting Batman/Robin/Batgirl anyway. But, if there was no EX for Robin, would I have ordered through TH? No Shipping is high and I can usually get decent discounts from the retailer I typically order from. So, when someone mentioned that base not being "free" before, they are totally right. That base - no joke - cost me around $70. Ok, if the $15 credit is still in play (still not clear if it is for new statues) and I use it (I will), then it's $55.

All good summaries of issues that seem to be continuing. I have collected most, if not all, of the various notes on concerns. These will be passed along to Chad who is recuperating from SDCC. lets put down the pitchforks and tiki torches until we get things sorted.

No pitchforks. I think everyone here has been civil and supportive--both of one another and of Tweeterhead. Everyone wants to see Tweeterhead succeed and I know that I wouldn't be posting if I wasn't interested in Tweeterhead's products.

If there is one common thread among many of the complaints, I would say that TH needs to keep its word. Don't announce things and then fail to come through. We understand that shipping dates change--but we are not used to being told an EX base is no longer a base and no longer going to support the characters we were told it would fit.

There's really nothing more to be said as the ball is now in TH's court. One gigantic step in the right direction would be showing the "base" (if we can still call it that).

Is that the bar? Chad shouldn't want it to be.

I feel like I need to say I am rooting for Chad. He seems like a great guy, and his FB videos have probably helped with my faith in the company.

But, any complaints can't really be seen as out of line. The handling of this exclusive base IS not good. I bet Chad wouldn't disagree. I think the problem is that even when the problem is recognized, it will probably still happen again. This is really the second free base incentive snafu (out of two). I was sold on Bud and Lou after learning of the free riser incentive if I bought Bud and Lou/Harley/Joker. So, I got 'em all. Then everyone got a riser. Are there excuses for why that happened. Of course.

And, really, the cheerleading over the Superman re-do has been a bit much. What company has re-done an entire run before? I don't know. What company has needed to re-do an entire run before? I can't recall of a defect that impacted an entire run like this one. If there was? Well, that's bad, too. If another company had an issue like this and didn't fix it, then they are the worst. So... hooray? TH is better than the worst? I would hope the factory took part (or all) of the hit. This forum is very generous for being overly grateful for fixing mistakes that caused a lengthy delay in getting what was actually ordered. The Superman re-do is not really the "win" so many make it out to be...

The lead times of 12-18 months don't make them worse - but, maybe start getting people to expect 18 month lead times. That may get rid of some of the higher expectations that just can't be met and just fan the flames of irate customers. Build in time for these issues that keep coming up. If it were me, I'd rather ship early than late.

The Shazam statue was put up for PO in JUNE. You know what the estimated ship date is on the product listing? 2nd Quarter 2019. Come on. Sure, I know not to believe that for a second and assume he intended that to say 2020. But, Chad has some customer outrage coming his way for those who take that info seriously. He would've had to start shipping right after it went up for PO to meet the date that is on the page as I'm typing this.

The Dark Knight statue? Up for PO at the end of May 2019. Due? "4rd" (that's right - "4rd") quarter 2019. Seriously? Ok, better than the lead time on the Shazam statue. But, still, Chad is giving himself 7 months from PO to delivery? I could've swore he said himself that his goal was to have a year between PO and delivery. Yet, here is another case of probably over promising something that we know is likely not going to happen. I am not sure why, unless a factory told Chad they can make that happen and he believes them. I don't think it has even come close to happening yet with this line, but ok.... Again, these dates don't impact me because I believe none of them. But, geeze... he's just begging for customer service issues.
This post made me chuckle a few times (4rd). hahaha

Yeah, I agree--we're rooting for him and Tweeterhead. I don't think any of us are being unreasonable--we just want these things to be acknowledged and addressed. Good points on the Superman statue, as well.

First world problems, gentlemen. Just enjoy the excellent statues. My two cents.

Right - I don't think there are any pitchforks being raised in this forum, which is actually a testament to Chad. He has been successful in generating a ton of goodwill. Without his presence here and on FB, I think it would have been a different story when it comes to some of these issues. I suspect when venturing outside of this forum, the level of "understanding" drops dramatically.

I can’t defend the rocky start to the Super Powers line. While I love the passion Chad has and his heart definitely seems to be in the right place he’s clearly overwhelmed.

- I actually regret buying the Robin Ex without seeing the base. Good chance I may not even be able to use it in my current display configuration. Could’ve burned my Reward Points going through Sideshow on the regular and saved some coin.

- I’m actually glad I destroyed my defective Superman and opted for a refund instead of waiting for a replacement. I don’t have a lot of faith it’ll arrive in any sort of timely fashion.

- The movement on the $15 coupons, or lack thereof, for each Ex ordered is baffling. I get that most would stockpile these in order to get a free statue and I’m patient but I’m not seeing any effort to get this sorted. As someone who has ordered 10 statues so far it’d be reassuring to know it’s at least being worked on. Yet we’ve literally heard nothing.

- The website is still very awkward despite the redesign. It’s very hard to navigate and I can see the lack of an actual storefront hurting sales. Members here have even posted on the forum that they thought certain items were sold out when in actuality they were just buried.

- Being charged the remaining balance on a piece before the statues have even arrived on our shores is something I’ve never cared for. It’s not that I mind paying in advance I just don’t like the principal of asking for balance payments before an item is ready to ship or at least close to being ready.

All that being said I hope my criticism is taken in a constructive manner as I truly wish Chad/TH the best and hope the Super Powers line is a resounding success. I will continue to support it as much as I can but these company missteps need to be addressed if they want to have a lasting presence in this crowded marketplace.

These are all valid criticisms. Most of the things you mentioned are things I am frustrated with as well. I think the issues you mentioned really should be addressed sooner than later.

I’m hopeful chad will respond to this ASAP. I think the longer time goes without addressing our concerns makes it worse. I’m considering asking for a refund on my two preorders and moving on.

What response are you looking for? Other that Robins EX there is nothing to respond to. This is getting blown out of proportion.
