I wonder how deep this piece is. His right arm with the sword is taking a lot of space and some of it might be behind him, increasing the depth.

Why is the DS version your least favorite?

Some of these 1/2 scales from Infinity are dirt cheap, like their sculpted Legolas was too.
8 years ago Prime 1?s 1/2 scales were $2K and up. I have their Trinity set, and even though they might not hold up against what can be achieved nowadays, they will still be some of the last pieces that will ever leave my collection.

Sideshow has this up for only $1,505, which is probably a few dollars higher to include their mark up.
This has got to be the lowest a 1/2 scale has been priced at for the past decade or so!
Even their Legolas was only $1734.

Here's my guess, under those robes is a basic - and I mean BASIC mannequin. I bet they've sculpted exactly what they need to sculpt, the rest is smooth as a baby's arse.....
Exactly what they did with the Ring Wraith (a.k.a Ladle Head).
Still a nice piece though - I'd just be careful with "expectations"....

Yep I?m thinking the same thing because of the price drop. Almost makes you think all of us that pay $1400+ for 1/3 pieces are really getting ripped one

I wouldn't be surprised if the bodies on these (Legolas and Gandalf) are PVC - and I don't mean the high grade PVC used on Anime figures either.
It's not so bad, when you think about - in fact, it would be a brilliant solution. Who needs heavy polystone for something covered in cloth or rags.
But I'm speculating - maybe they've just found a better way to produce at a better cost.....we'll find out soon, I guess.

That wouldn’t be surprising, but then again other than the head Prime 1 probably did much the same for their Ledger Joker.
And I like how me calling the bust’s head a ladle has spread to one other person at least

It's not really a knock because I think all 3 are pretty high quality looking and do a good job representing the character. The base is just kind of meh to me. I also think the helm is slightly off comparing it to the scene it's taken from.

Here's a small update! We have modified the details of the helmet, the mace, and the paintwork. More adjustments are being made because we hope to present the best outcome to our collectors 🥰
