Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Not liking this one.

Pros: The costume and colors look good. I think that base is cool. Definitely should have a light up.

Cons: The rest is just uninspiring. Body proportions look weird, pose bland

Oh sh!t ...Bel is going with some old school concepts with this sculpt!

It's the same concepts Bowen used in his sculpts, but Bel is also putting modern musculature into it. Broad round shoulders with the V-shape from Hal's arms to his obliques. And then that straight line from his obliques to his thighs with his knees together. Damn, that is awesome!

Kinda wish his feet were together, too ...but that's close enough.

I hope there will be a 2nd portrait where Hal is looking forward instead of looking up. This pose still works with that kinda of portrait.

There is a lot to like about this, but I'm starting to not like the crazy musculature on most of these.

It's like the superhero spends all their time weightlifting and sculpting their muscles and then removing their skin and painting a thin layer of color representing clothes on top of their muscles. Weird thing to do when your superpowers don't come from the strength and symmetry of your muscles.

Maybe I'm turning into an Alex Ross fan somehow.

This piece actually reminds me of how Michael Turner (RIP) used to draw his superheroes.

I'd kinda like a 2nd portrait with a different head angle.
