Do either of you plan on reviewing Flash #1? I'm interested to get your
take(s) on it.

I had a VERY hard time with his work on Amazing Spider-Man...

I've really come to enjoy your collective takes on the various titles, and this marks a return to a big title for Ken Lashley. I have always been a huge fan of his, and really liked his work in this book. I hope one of you take a peak.

I didn't pick up Flash #1 either but it was discussed on this forum. Most reactions were luke warm, kind of "meh" if I remember right.

My opinion on it......"meh" it was alright, but not, "OMG Flash has another book out!!! Let's go buy two copies and a variant!!" Normally, I'd still pick it up, just because it's Flash, however at the outrageous prices at the comic shops, I'm not even going to bother with #2..

This was a peculiar bunch of reviews. (Thanks for a link to the other reviews/impressions, btw)

I was under the imression that, at this forum, the criticism of "This SUCKS" followed by nothing of substance, was frowned upon. "I don't like who The Flash is, so... the book sucks!" To me, that's like buying an X-Men title, bemoaning the whole "mutant" story line, and saying it sucks.

I did see 1 (only one, mind you) negative remark about the art. You have got to be kidding! If it isn't your bag, fine. But Lashley is one of the most technically sound (and absurdly under-rated) artist around. To say it was crap is unfair, and untrue.

Sam and WKTF, thanks for the reviews, as always. I'm not a particularly big fan of Flash, either... I just wanted to get your impressions.

My biggest problem with it was story wise. I thougth the whole issue centered more on Bart's party-crazy friend and the Star Labs chick than Flash itself. I didn't see it as a great #1 issue (I thought WW did a better job).
