But to be honest, Kirby's original drawing is off. Where is Cap's lower left arm supposed to be on that cover?

Those black and white pictures make this statue look better to me. You can see a lot more detail in the sculpture. Not only does cap look better, but just putting the Avengers logo in the base has help that as well.

I don't think it's off. Lower left arm is under the shield but in front of his right leg.
