Hey Fellas,

The color for the Predator 2 prop replica is
modeled after the actual stunt movie prop.
It was really some thing very cool (for me) to have
(even for the very short time it was here) an actual
screen used stunt prop as my painting guide
for the paintmaster copies for HCG.

Here is me...being a little nerdy with the actual
stunt prop on my head.

Anyhoo....a little info that I can share, I am told that
this particular Bio-Helmet was used in the scene
where the Predator was crawling on the subway train
(before he cut a hole through the top and started
hackin' and slashin')

a few more nerdy pics to share.....

my son Brandon (he thought this was really cool)

and my youngest...Maggie the Predator

Depending on lighting and such (color temperature of
the lights), the metallic color of the helmet can
change in photos. But I can say, that having seen
the actual screen used prop in real life and being
able to see the exact color(s) it was, I can tell you
that the HCG one will be the next best thing to
owning the original movie prop.

Hi Danno,

Is the colour more of a copper and green? Was there different helmets used in different scenes with different colours? I think its just the lighting of the pic making it look dark. If you did the master, I'm sure it will turn out fantastic.

Unfortunately for me....no. But it could not have been
in better hands.....the cutting disc was done by the
ever talented people at Stan Winston Studios.

Actaully, there are a few colors on here.
The helmet is mainly a deep dark brown/bronze color
with reddish copper highlights. One thing that was a
surprize to me, I had always assumed that the helmet
had a flat aqua green type patina, but that is not the case.
Rather, there is a beautiful green metallic that is
layered over the bronze and copper colors and
the weathering adding.

With regards to your other question, yes. I am by no
means the expert here, but it is my understanding
that there are a few different helmets used in the
movie.
