I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Not sure which one you're referring to... this one looks great, the Lee Bermejo one was excellent... sure, some can may not like the Bermejo style, but the piece was highly detailed and very well done. The Bolland Penguin was also excellent.

The McGuinness one had a silly design. I can't really fault the actual "quality", but I'll fault the design.

The only semi-recent one I'd say was completely lackluster was the Ethan Van Sciver one.

The head looks a bit big for the body. As if it was done by a different sculpter and stuck on.

Like I said, I'm amazed they credited me for the piece. I only started a PORTION of it. Not sure who finished it as they pulled me from it to work on that Bat vs Croc piece so they could have it done for a particular deadline. However they sent me 4 samples of these. Will probably get rid of all of them. If anyone is interested message me.

And just to add to the conversation....I think the Bermejo one is Absolutely amazing!!!! That one along with the Mike Mignolas are easily the best in my opinion.

Hey Cessna-

Thanks for the pics... Is that back foot on the base or off? Also, is the front of the cowl painted a "deeper" black than the rest of it?

Yes the back foot is off the back of the base, the front foot has two pegs to hold in place. No issues getting it to fit the pegs. The front of the cowl is indeed darker and is a glossy black.

A Rogers Batman statue is a "grail piece" for me and I scored a sweet deal recently to get one for $52 CDN.

I should get it next week.
Can't wait. Looks fantastic.
