Interesting as my last two standard shipping orders shipped DHL expedited with five days delivery to USA...very similar.

I wonder if Prime 1 is biting the bullet on some economy shipping orders and getting them out standard shipping so they can get these long standing orders fullfilled? If the country of origin is China one would suspect that's the case and y'know, good for them for getting these orders out.

I'm not sure why I forgot that these are shipping from Japan and are not part of any proposed tariff increases.

Hopefully if possible these companies start moving production away from china. i know that will take a long time but it looks like in the long term these china-america issues will only increase.

My last two orders shipped from China. I've heard reports they ship from both locations though.

Even if it ships from Japan wouldn't the tariff's still apply? Dunno bout statues or big companies but when shipping servers at my work we always have to declare the country of manufacture for customs.

That was my thought also.

My understanding was that the tariff applies to goods sourced or ‘manufactured’ in China.

But there have been reports of businesses simply changing the country of origin on the goods and having them shipped from surrounding Asian countries to avoid the tariffs.

It wouldn’t be the first time the country of origin is played around with. Various countries have always had different determinations, from where was it designed, materials sourced, manufactured or simply where it is last assembled and boxed up for distribution.
