Oh you're in for a rude shock

Pictures are Akuma's worst nightmare and especially for the hairline.
It looks nothing like that in person.
Enjoy and make sure you post all your pleasures when you finally get it!

Thanks man I hope you're right

In this video https://youtu.be/TfwTZVFcYHc?list=LL...YvCf14-iiFgk-w I have the same reaction though I cringe seeing the hairline being such a fairly straight and rather high up line compared to what it was supposed to be...so again I hope you're right!

Take it from me man, i initially hated that the hairline was different.
WHAT?! To each his own but the original INTENDED hairline looked way better IMO. Jerry took his time and sculpted it to perfection. What a shame someone dropped the ball.

This isnt just my opinion, ive had chats to other Akuma statue owners and it seems to be agreed upon that by chance, the finished product's hairline does have a more natural look and feel.
In hand is a different story grayfox, it really is.

I will say this.

I actually was extremely concerned so much about the hairline that I was going to part with him because I really needed the money.

I opened him on Saturday night and I swear right now that I didn't even notice it. He looks totally fine in person and honestly if his hair looked the same in the proto as it turned out you would have nothing try and find fault with.

He is perfect and do yourself a favor to at least unbox him before selling him. I totally changed my tune and admit it.

He's perfect. Seriously. So much so that if my Shin waitlist converts I will take out a loan to pay for him. This is the most amazing statue I have ever seen and it just so happens to be one of my favorite video game character.

I will never part with him. If I had one collectable he would be it.

The human eye does not see the same way a camera sees.

Add to that lens distortion and bad lighting and even the greatest statue in the world can look like crap.

Which Akuma has proven.

Well... i sold my Akuma because of the hairline and those early crappy pictures.

Went over to a friends the following week and saw his in person.

Panic hit me harder than a train and realised i made one of the biggest mistakes ever!

Hunted Akuma again, and added a Shin.
All in the space of a week lol.

No fan/collector in their sober mind will part with Akuma after in hand.

yep I did this before. I'm sure we all have. Sucks to pay more in most cases like this but at least you own one or two.

I have one and still would of loved to have the original intended sculpt as would some other Akuma owners that I talked to. Considering its a statue of an anime, cartoony video game character, natural look and feel don't apply IMO. If anything the anime, cartoony style fit Akuma better. Don't get me wrong like I said to each his own. I'm not bashing you just stating my point of view.
