Looking at some source images...McFarlane did usually draw the mask with some extra web lines, and a line down the middle...so, depends what look that they are going for. But, most of the time, he's drawn the way that Peedi shows.

Thanks!
Yes. There will always be exceptions. In at least one of the Sam Raimi movies the stripe was down the middle on the lower half of the mask.
But you all get me. In most comics it’s traditionally middle stripe upper mask, open spaces lower half.

My original expectation was XM would treat this like their other characters and stylize Spidey. Since there’s a bunch of 1/4 Spideys already (I have 5 and counting so far, 4 are the same traditional costume) I wouldn’t have minded if they made this costume their own a bit more. Also, I still want one of these 1/4 Spideys one day to have the web pits like the McFarlane image Bmutha posted. I’m glad MCU Spidey has them now on the big screen.

I think this statue would benefit if they made the base less busy, took off the pumpkin bombs got rid off all the switchouts and just had the doc oct tentacles. Fixed up Spider-Man's physique, especially around his abdomen and get rid of that pillar that sticks in the side of his body. I also think the Battle damaged face looks too Asian and I would love if they gave him the McFarlane eyes, that way they can keep the webbing lines as they are on his mask.

According to the live interview today, a bunch of changes have been made to Spidey including revisions to the base, making it a little more compact.
