Were using a Canon EOS 7D with IS 28-135mm lens but soon I'm going to buy the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro lens once i get the money as the lens alone is about 1 grand…
EDIT: Any of you know a great macro lens that would work with my Canon EOS 7D that is under $1,000?

Believe me if you take the Canon 100mm f/2.8 you won't regret it, you won't sell it!
It can be used also for portrait, not only for macro. It's also a "mini telephoto".
Maybe you can look for used lens to reduce the price.

Well like I said, it's all overshadowed by how good you make that statue look.
Love these two pics, dude. They remind me of pics that I would take if I had your exact same camera and lens. Congrats on the new Mags pick-up. Thankfully, the flaws on your copy are extremely minor. And I'm OCD as a mofo.

The flaws are much visible in real...Magneto is the statue that gives me new hope in this industry... i can't ignore these flaws...

The helmet is a legit complaint. It would be next to impossible for an amateur to touch up the metallic finish on the helmets. Those issues would probably require a complete repaint by a pro if a replacement was not given.
The paint chip on the boot...ehhhh...if I was in XM's shoes, I am not sure I would offer a full replacement for that. That chip is on the part of his boot that is a flat black colour...could very easily be touched up by just about anyone on these forums (assuming it is just a paint chip...if the actual statue is chipped, that's a different story). I'll be interested to hear what they do about it.
