I'm going to say $2100 for the single torso and $2899 for the 3 "deluxe" edition. I'll be pleasantly surprised if the single torso is sub $2000 but that'd sure be nice for collectors.

But for real, the amount of hype on some of these pieces, without any movement.... Oof.... No wonder people are getting frustrated/antsy.

times like this make me miss Randy Bowen. This hobby has never been the same since his departure. This new bigger and badder companies don't have a clue when it comes to marketing and bringing their collectors and consumers along for a ride. Randy would share WIP sneak peeks while it the statue was taking shape on the sculpting table. None of this blurred out nonsense of a full completed statue.

This is what collectors want to see, this is how you build excitement for an upcoming piece:

Hell, Randy even posted his FULL sculpture before he received approval from Marvel:

since Randy's departure from this hobby we are left with producers that think this is how you build excitement:

Everyone now is just too fearful, no absolutely terrified, of critical feedback early in the process.

True the scrutiny from Social Media was not as intense for Bowen, he did have confidence in his art direction. He understands art direction is more than taking a cool design 2D image and copying it directly into a sculpture without allowing for the differences in mediums.

Statue design really any art, is an iterative, iterative, iterative process. Make something see what works and tear it all down and start from scratch if need be. That is hard to do on a contractual basis. It takes an artist, it takes a sculptor.
That's what makes Bowen and PCS pieces special and stand the test of time so well despite newer and ever more intricately detailed CGI modeling.

And Randy Bowen would get today the same kick into the ass from the licensor like every other company. Nowadays it?s not allowed to show WIP work.

That's interesting you keep saying this, yet every other company can do this.... And even XM, after the Magneto fiasco, can suddenly change it to "production, we are accepting POs" to "sorry, no PO, this is a WIP".

Something doesn't pass the smell test here.

never heard of this...it's that's true how is Tweeterhead able to show this WIP He-man when the tag clearly says PENDING LICENSOR APPROVAL, which means to me final product is not yet approved.

He talked about WIP like to show sculpting step by step or 3D sculpts in different steps before it?s finished. You can smell what you want.

Like i said above it shows the sculpt not in work, it?s a finished sculpted and printed prototype. XM can also show printed pieces before painting.
