Nowhere near the masterpiece Suspiria is, but still great Argento fun!

Great film Rod. I'm a big Argento fan and agree its no Suspiria, but really, what is? The discovery of the submerged ballroom and subsequent retrieval of the dropped keys is certainly the high point. Brilliantly shot.
I'm looking forward to this coming out on Blu-ray over here in a little over a month along with Deep Red.

Argento is working on a Dracula film for those interested. It's been a while since made anything of worth. Altough he did produce Asia

Enchanted (2007) - 8/10
I likely never would have watched this if I didn't have a daughter, but it was a surprisingly good show. Animated characters from a standard Disney fairy tale are pulled into real world Manhattan.
It mostly lampoons Disney's animated musicals, and I think that's why I liked it so much. Lots of subtle adult humor. The casting of the roles was mostly excellent: Amy Adams was a completely believable princess - innocent, naive, and dramatic. James Marsden as the Prince was a square-jawed, conceited, but well-meaning oaf. Susan Sarandon made an excellent villain. But Patrick Dempsey was completely out of his element as the "real world" guy who gets caught in the middle of it all - no emotion, no charisma, no discernable presence of acting talent. I can think of so many actors who should have had his role, and it loses two points for his casting.

yes he did.
I hope he gets back on track with Dracula but must admit I'm not very optimistic. I'm starting to think he's become a bit like George A. Romero as his recent efforts pale in comparison to his earlier work. I haven't seen Giallo yet with Adrien Brody but word of mouth is it was terrible and Mother of Tears was a disappointing finale to the "Three Mothers" trilogy after the strong showing from Suspiria and Inferno.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I just watched Black Swan I'd give it a solid 7-7.5/10
Not a horrible movie, but left me with a lot of questions. My friend's mom I think put it best:
"A bad movie done very, very well."

Not a big fan of Darren Aronofsky's work although i do have a couple of his films in my collection (blind buys). His work tends to be over rated IMO. For me Nolan is far and away the more original Director.

I saw Phantom Menance 7 times, if not 8, at the movies.

The Karate Kid - 7 out of 10
Not that bad, had a lot of parallels with the original.
I still don't get why they called the movie Karate Kid.
Chan did a great job in this movie.
BTW, I'm currently practicing how to take off my jacket.
