I'm right there with you. I don't understand the appeal.

It's green! I don't hate it, I've got a couple headed my way.
I think a white frame might work well with this.

I just don't understand. If there was going to be a giant green border around the print why didn't he include it in the promoted art?

I hear you and agree Luminous. Still a nice print but I understand where your coming from. You can frame that green out.
Check this online frame and mat shop. Just upload your poster/pic and you can play around with different mats and frames. Pretty cool.

I like this one.
Okay, I'm fixing to go do my Dredd print.

I'm expecting this auction to close between $6500-$8000. A 1/1 12"x36" is the draw. Gotta figure, been 7 cats bidding, only 8 spots at the next tier level, those will go quick. Basically getting a commission, which Mark has said he reserves the right to make prints of. I think it's very reasonable.

That would definitely be the way to go if I decide to frame it.

8k is insane from where I'm sitting. 3k could get you a 1/1 painting from a lot of top artists, without mark having the rights to print up 300 of your original. I like his work but just not that much. What if your 1/1 is a sequel of his famous woody Allen Bananas print?
For that price, Mark should not reserve the right to print copies to sale. Boy, it's a win win for Englert. Caching!! If Mark makes prints of the 1/1 original what makes it an original? The medium used. He does all his stuff on the computer.
I wasn't out to offend you Rob, my apologies!
Knowing Englerts work, I'm sure there will be lots of gems in his Sub.

Gotta agree with Fro. That price is simply absurd for what is being offered. Then he has the option to print 300 and receive all that profit? Nutty is putting it mildly.
Not trying to offend you, Rob. Just hope this is something you've really thought through if you plan to invest in it.

Here's a quote from the Mark Englert thread over at ExpressoBeans that I thought you might find ironic.
