The kicker is they have 20 percent off everything... Seems sketchy since it's less than retail.

Ebay name lindam281
Looks to me like someone that has a connection to a wholesaler/distributor (not us directly) so they get discounted pricing and then re-sells items for a very very small markup. Based on those prices they are barely making $30 on that Ryu statue. Whoever she is getting them from must be buying a lot from us though as we dont sell to very many distributors/wholesalers.

he is in scale with the Ninjas and Goro.

We are behind on development on 1:1 busts as there arent very many people i trust to sculpt them and Ive been really busy working on other sculptures.

So no news right now.

Goro is 'on the water' as we like to say. he is supposed to arrive here January 2nd but they very rarely arrive on time.

We recently sent out all the shipping quotes.

Appreciate the kind words

We will undoubtedly have a Skeletor to go along with He-Man. But we have to see how He-Man sales go before committing to anyone else. But I really do want to get deep into this 'realistic' line.

new pics of He-Man mid January I think

Strictly speaking Street Fighter there are 6 mixed media and 3 fully sculpted planned.

You can make a poll

Raiden has lighting in his eyes and hand, but theres no room for lighting in his fingertips proper.

Regarding the licenses:

-Marvel: have you tried slip in the agreement that thing to allow the statues to be displayed "normally", sitting on a shelf? The thing that you proposed for DC but was rejected. Allow to be wall mounted or displayed normally should boost the sales.

-Alien/Predator: I know you've always been into creatures and monsters, I wonder if these two iconic creatures fall into your tastes?
I heard the license is quite expensive, but recently Kotobukiya snagged the Alien license for their ArtFx+ line and Sideshow's offerings have been piss poor for a while. Any interest in this on your side?
- Marvel is pretty clear, as is DC, they arent to be designed to sit on a shelf.

- I spent years sculpting and designing Alien/Predator stuff for Palisades and X-Plus. Im just burnt out on it.

I would love to do Power Rangers but no plans right now. I think DBZ has plenty of great statues out there.

That is a 'wait and see'

I'm curious to know what processes and people you implemented that you think have made the biggest difference.

If I was to hazard a guess it seems like the communication with the factories is much better / seamless and ongoing....?

I'm genuinely interested.

And how do you feel about Dhalsim. Do you think of him as just another good quality statue, or do you think of him as a milestone - perhaps something that wouldn't have been possible a few years ago? I'm leaning towards the latter.

Cheers!
Mark
I dont see Dhalsim as being special. He is a great statue, no more, no less.

There was no breakthrough in any way during his production. He and everything else are just the culmination of now having years of experience making polystone and years of solidifying factory relationships.

The only 'X' factor may be that we DO now have a full time employee living in China, who is from the USA, and checks every single piece before we ship it. He is human so he isnt perfect, but I think he is doing a very good job on QC.

Baraka is set to ship from China early February so March is still a go.

Hmmm is the "studio line" that one you mentioned to be painted by your in house painters? Like a true prototype?

Hi Jerry,

Is there going to be just 1 street fighter 1/4 revisit per year?

Is a Ken revisit coming soon?

Thanks.

it can be amazing to have statues made by you
Jerry Mac, I'm gonna piggy-back on this post and say it would be awesome if you could make characters from this game. I'm not sure about others or if you've ever played Samurai Shodown, but it was my absolute favorite fighting game growing up. The characters and weapons used by each were fantastic and memorable. Great soothing, quiet and almost no music, but just the sound effects of weapons clashing and striking opponents. It was really fun. I still play SS2 on Xbox Live Arcade.

I've decided to change gears for a little while and start in with your Street Fighter line, since it was one of the other fighting games I also loved. I still have a few more Marvel and DC stuff I'd like to pick up, but for the start of next year, it's SF until I can obtain the original 12 fighters from SF2. Especially since you're starting to revisit some of the older SF pieces.

Anywho, if you're looking to stick to making statues from fighting games, I recommend Samurai Shodown. Lots of awesome animated characters....just like Street Fighter. It'd be great to hear a reply on this, even if you can't do it or aren't allowed to do it.

Note: I just saw your reply to that original post saying that you've never played it. It unfortunate you never came across it during the game's peak years. No doubt you would've had fun playing it. You're right, it wasn't that popular. SF and MK stole it's thunder. However, it was an incredible fighting game. It was big time in Japan and other overseas locations. It's just that too many people in the States were too into MK and SF during that time.
