When I opened mine, side 1 on top, the statue was face down into side 2, making me think side 2 is actually the top. In any case, yeah...be careful opening it.

Here's how mine looked when I opened it, and looking at it now, I think you're probably right. But how counter-intuitive is it that "1" would be the bottom and "2" would be the top? Tweeterhead really needs to get rid of the numbers and use TOP and BOTTOM instead.

Totally agree. The numbers, on mine at least, were also upside down. The little cutouts that allow you to grip the styrofoam when you open the box are on top as usual. When you take it out, though, it's actually the bottom of the styrofoam. A bit counter-intuitive in itself.

Lol. In truth, I don't know if the crack happened then or if it was a manufacturing defect. It only fell about 10 inches, from one side of the styrofoam insert to the other side.
