the wife likes her stout, I'm a lager (harp) boy myself. But the jameson chasers are a must. We can always alternate between pitchers of harp and guiness anyway. Be seeing you in NYC for 2007. Make sure you wear your drinking shoes...

I have many aquaintences. Friend is a word that means a great deal to me, and as such I tend to use it judiciuosly. It's not the guy that's just fun to hang out with, that tells a great joke, or will buy me beer and play pool. It could be that guy, so long as the relationship goes deeper than that.

There are a handful of people I truly consider friends. They're the people that I can call on at any time, and who will not hesitate to drop whatever it is they're doing if I need help, as I would for them.

One of things that demonstrates true friendship, like a great marriage, is how it stands the test of disharmony. I've been through some very difficult times with friends, and if we come out of it better for the experience, with no hard feelings, than that friendship is soild.

Sure, no problem. Can probably get a trade going for statues. Three kegs of Pabst Blue Ribbon for a BD's Ant Man bust. Sound fair?

What about them? What does friendship mean to you guys?

Me, it's like a samurai thing, I'm down for them until the end, no matter what. It's checking up on them when they are down, it's sending them a card when someone close to them dies. It's giving your boys wife/kid/gf/whoever a ride when she needs it. It's buying them a drink and sharing your home. It's being willing to break a dude in half for them or their friend if they need you too. It's loyalty without queston or hesitation.

Most importantly, it's never expecting anything back. From a friend, I never keep score, but god forbid someone takes advantage of my generosity and disrespects me or mine or disrespects me in my house (I hate it when people come to my house, accept my hospitality, and then act like an a$#). Then I'll write a mofo off. But for the most part, friendship is something I take seriously. Maybe it's cause my parents are dead and friends are all I got. I dunno. Whatever the case, that's how I feel. What about you cats?
Sam:

I couldn't put it any better myself. The only thing I could add is that it's pathetic how many people don't feel and act the same way.
