I'm really sorry to hear that this might be in jeopardy. I can only imagine how you feel after putting so much time and effort in the project. It looked like it was coming along nicely too.

Can you share why it might not make it? I've been hearing you guys might not be continuing with the Frazetta line. I was hoping this one still might get through since it was already in progress.

It comes down to numbers. We actually seem to make more selling our original designs. It was shocking to see the numbers after comic con. Arkhalla, Medusa, and the Mermaids sold better than the Barbarian. Even Poseidon was on par as far as sales go. Its beyond my ability to comprehend. I just take orders and sculpt. It's very frustrating though. Even done digitally, the Fighting Man of Mars took 3x longer to complete than Arkhalla.

I think if your Frazetta Barbarian was the 1st official sculpt of that painting, it would have sold a lot more... only the diehard Frazetta Conan fans like myself would get another 3D version of Franks iconic paintings.

Another problem of too many Statues been released at the same time stretching what collectors can buy.Reason Why I skipped some this year even though i want them but too much for my budget for all at the same time.Space them out a bit and sales will be better.

Now that you mention it, I do recall Barbarian being available for a surprisingly long time on the website. In the videos, I saw how much work went into that piece. It's disappointing to hear it didn't sell as well as you guys hoped.

If moving in a different direction is best for business, that makes sense. Disappointing for the Frazetta fans, but I get it. I'm just glad I was able to get what was offered up until now.

I'm still looking forward to your upcoming original designs too.

I would like to see the occasional Frazetta piece continued to be released, but I think Warhead really hit the nail on the head... Only diehard Frazetta fans are going after this stuff. A ton of people are looking at it though. And probably, this was the plan all along. Draw people in with the Frazetta stuff... Mostly large, super detailed sculptures, then wow them with thier own designs like Arhian and Arkhalla... Now they arnt making statues for Frazetta fans, they are making statues for ARH fans. I bet fighting man took three times as long to make because so much attention had to be paid to mimicking the original art as close as possible, where with Arkhalla it was a totally original design with complete artistic freedom.

I was superbummed to hear about the end of the Frazetta line as well but when I heard they weren't selling I understand the decision.

I think most of us Frazetta fans are older. I am 50 and many I know are even older than that. I just don't know how many people who are all of the following:

1. Huge Frazetta fans
2. Frazetta fans that also collect statues
3. Frazetta fans that collect statues that have enough money and/or room to buy several statues in a relatively short time in addition to the others we may buy.

I was really loving that fighting man though, I would have bought that for sure.

I passed on Huntress with the Cats because it was never one of my favorite paintings and it's base size was large and odd shaped and would have presented display problems for me. I passed on Virgin of Maher mainly because it was just part of the sketch (no monster) and due to financial reasons at the time it was released.

But I ordered DD on a horse, Barbarian, and Atlantis and am very happy to have had the opportunity to get these at least.

Man, this sucks. Last year I didn't had much funds available so I only could buy DD3 and now that I have the funds there is no more Frazetta to look forward to.

I think part of why the Frazetta line might not be doing better is due to none of them being out, but continuing to go up for preorder at high prices. I know I haven't preordered them yet because I want to see how Death Dealer ends up in hand. Once I see how the QC is for these massive intricate pieces then I'll be willing to start picking them up.
