Mike, we seriously appreciate the fact that these celebrities make it out to Australia and having had the chance to spend some time chatting with Amy over the past week, she's a delightfully lovely lady!

Plus the con is organised so that the celebrities are from television series which are likely to have been watched by the attendees, hence series like Dollhouse and Angel both of which Amy appeared in. Julia Roberts is a huge star and while she would attract big crowds, she hasn't been in any science-fiction or similar series and I doubt the promoters could afford her.

Here's a few photos:

Julie White (Mrs Witwicky from Transformers) and Amy Acker.

Sean Maher (Firefly and Serenity) (Rodders, don't show Belinda this one )

Neil Kaplan (voice actor) and Sharon on river cruise.

Dan Green (voice actor, rear left), Daniel Zachariou (Supanova Director), Dave Johnson (rear right) at Guest Party.

That's where your wrong.... Nobody watched Dollhouse...

Anyways I'm glad you had a nice time. I would not actually call these people celebrities, I would call them working actors. Science Fiction you say?? Julia Roberts was in Mary Reily!!! Oh wait no one saw that either.

I gotta admit that I gave up on Dollhouse after about episode 5, it just didn't grab me like Firefly, Buffy and Angel.

I was just making use of your mention of "celebrities" but I take your point if comparing to Julia Roberts

My biggest regret is not getting a photo of the Aussie SF crew (Ken, Doc, Rod, Wrothy et al)
