I'm a little surprised at the reception, I think it's a great looking Bane...but there have been some good Bane statues in recent years, so that may be a part of it.

Other pieces have been better at half the cost.

It is not a bad looking Bane at all. Perhaps it is a bit over-the-top in terms of body shape. It reminds me of Juggernaut a lot.

I think that's the problem. It's not a bad looking Bane ...but it's not great either. And with the price point of XM pieces ...plus shipping ...it really has to impress. Especially to pull the trigger.

Besides we have seen XM do better.

I concur. XM hasn't got me excited for quite a while.

I'm seeing $860 but still...it's all so ridiculous now. Agreed with what others are saying...it's a fine enough piece...uninspired as it is. It's a Bane. Not worth whatever they'll charge especially with better options for cheaper out there.

I think it's nice enough. It seems to be a mashup of a more realistic take/details, on the og Sideshow comic look. The pose is rather bland, for me.

I do like this one, but also have the Bel which I like much better.

Considering the 1/6, but they did the weird height thing again. Appreciate it's not 25 inches tall, but now it's shorter than the Tweeterhead Hal Jordan. To look good in a line-up, it'll probably have to be on a riser in the back.

XM Studios News

Pictures from the render XM Bane - Classic 1/4 & 1/6 Statue by Paul Tan.

"Often at war with his personal dependence on the super-serum that gives him his strength, Bane will never stop fighting to prove he deserves to rule. In order to wage his unending war on injustice, Batman has developed his body as perfectly as he has his mind. But there?s one man who?s broken him. A man who stands in many ways as his exact opposite?a physical marvel and a genius without peer. But whereas the Dark Knight was born to fight crime, Bane was destined for a life of corruption."

I was just looking at this and yeah you’re right, even in the video at the XM studios showroom he looks way too small. 15 inches tall for such a massive character seems off to me.

The 1/4 scale looks good though.
