Exactly. Even comparing Reyes to Jeter is kind of jumping the gun. Reyes got red hot for about 6 weeks last season and then cooled off at the end - This year he was hot again for a few weeks then cooled back down. Until this guy puts up minmum 2 full seasons with all these projected #'s then I don't want to hear it. So far he's just another speed freak. So far he hasn't shown this "power" that he supposedly has. They've been talking about this guys upside since was pulling hamstrings every other game and then last year he gets hot for 6 weeks finally lives up to the hype and they're already crowing him the most exciting player in the game and the best SS in NY. Easy there guys. Until I see this 24 HR power and the 90 SB's he's just another Juan Pierre. Jeters no flash in the pan. He's been doing this CONSISTENTLY for years now.

A repost from another board. Enjoy.

Red Sox can go 50-49 (.505) in the remaining 99 games this season and wind up at 91-71.

The Yankees have to go 60-40 (.600) to reach that same record.

Are the Sox going to go .505 the rest of the season? Are the Yankees going to go .600?

I do not think so. I think the Sox, at least, will go .560 (55-44) and wind up at 96-66. At least.
