I felt that way about Blackbolt. It was a total impulse buy after the wave of praise. Luckily, I loved it when I opened it where I was lukewarm at first. I was fortunate to have loved it, but it's a risky game to play. I feel the same way you do about both the Joker and Batman.

This thing is a let down on so many fronts. What kills me is that both Prime 1 and Sideshow showed off their Heath Ledger Jokers for the first time at SDCC 2015, both received various complaints, yet only Prime 1 bothered to address them and change the pose on theirs. What is wrong with Sideshow? They've already lost the 1/6th scale figure market to Hot Toys, and they're well on their way to losing the scale statue market to Prime 1, XM, etc.

Not sure why but I'm just not as excited about this piece now that they've released it with such a disappointing exclusive... It's like the disappointing exclusive ruined the whole thing for me. It's kinda the same reason I haven't jumped on TDK Batman yet.
I haven't POd yet. I may wait for discounts and coupons before I commit to it.

From the other side of the fence: I took the plunge and don't feel I'll regret it. I burned some SS points to bring the cost down too, so that's a real plus. Considering I've been waiting for a 1/4 scale TDK Joker statue for years, this is an oasis in the desert.
I actually like the stance and really like the fire from the broken concrete, as it reflects the line "Some people just want to watch the world burn."
Have to agree on the knife though. Not sure what SS was thinking when they didn't include one. That's practically his signature in the movie.
