Well, it need some support, doesn't it? 
I know, you are asking about an "elaborated" base, like the 1:1 Endo.
I didn't see the final product yet, just some quick pics of the body. Honestly, I didn't pay attention to the base or whatever was holding it in place.

As this statue depicts him from the new movie (which I happen to like) and is a great sculpt, yes, I am tempted.
Though you are correct, I am not a big Rambo fan.

Saw the new Rambo movie again yesterday in BR. Loved the new movie. And then you can see that is indeed an awesome paintjob and sculpt. Even the bandana have the same colors/details.
