it's on page 25 of this thread. It's actually much better then the first one, IMO, so I'm a happy camper!

Does anyone actually show pictures of their commissions here?

It really has been a while since we have seen anything from GP, let alone a cover quality one. For those who are waiting, has Spencer provided an update?

I had received an update near the end of November. I had placed my order right at the deadline (was debating if I was going to get one done), so I'm sure I'm at the bottom of the list of pieces being done. So long as I know I'm on the list, I don't mind waiting, as I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

Quote:
Hello my friends,

First of all, I just want to THANK all my fans who have ordered the
private commissions for their seemingly boundless patience regarding
the far longer than expected waits for their illustrations. Quite a
number of circumstances have frustrated me in my endeavors to keep up
with my heavy workload and I think I've finally found the clearing at
the end of the tunnel.

One of my biggest problems has been conceding that I can't draw as
fast as I used to and that cover-quality pieces that once took me
about 3 days each now take close to 3 times that amount of time.
Thankfully, everyone who has received their commissions ...
( especially those that ordered one of the finished pencil and inked
pieces ) have expressed their appreciation of the amount of effort
that I put into the finished product and considered the wait
worthwhile. I want to make sure that everyone on the list gets the
same feeling of expectations being fulfilled or surpassed.

However, with all the money that has been advanced me -- and let me
say that the number of orders I received through Spencer Beck's
efforts was incredibly flattering and overwhelming and that money got
me and my family through a very rough patch, for which I shall be
eternally grateful-- I know that the waiting game can only last so long.

My INTENTIONS are ( in addition to the pencil and pencil & tonal wash pieces )
is to finish up at least two of the cover-quality commissions
a month until the list is finished. While I know that for some of you
the wait will still be a long one -- I believe I have about 25 such finished
commissions (many incredibly complex)-- I want to assure you that I
will make every effort to create a showpiece that will make the money
and waiting time justifiable.

It's not easy admitting to oneself that you're not the young speedy
buck you once were, but at least I can produce better quality work
than I could when I was a mere lad. I hope that your faith in me
hasn't been too compromised and that you will all give me the chance
to prove myself worthy of it.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding,

I wish you all a safe, happy and healthy holiday season.
