The lack of detail on the cape around the shoulders is really a little disappointing, but the rest of the statue looks on par with the prototype. Let’s wait for more photos to judge properly

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Wow. That's big. I went ahead and cancelled my order. Its a shame Prime 1 dropped the ball on this.

In my case, it was pics from 3 different collectors.

Yeesh. They really declined with the New 52 line. I heard Flash had issues or I would have snagged it.

GL, Superman, Cyborg, and WW came out fine. I sent back the Flash. The only problem was the black paint in the lines of the suit was bleeding out like it got wet. The paint job was pretty bad. My lightning fit fine, at least. There must have been a better batch of them since all 1000 collector's edition sold out. I was glad I waited to see it in hand, because you get all your money back if the statue is returned for good reason.

I didn't know that because it's only one in this thread.

I still love the New 52 Flash design. It's still a maybe if SS offers some discount for it on top of free shipping. My concern was mostly the portrait heads not sitting flush ,which I saw was an issue for some.

Nearmint what made you cancel your order? It was just the lack of detail on the cape o something else?
From what I’ve seen so far the paint app looks pretty good to me. Even that cross/hatched section looks better on other pictures posted online.

Loss of detail overall, and the fact that this piece is $920 all in. I find that I’m becoming more critical of high priced items.

Just curious, what else do you think is lacking detail when you compare it to the prototype?
To be honest, the most attractive feature of this statue to me is the pose, very unique and imposing. If the final product is close enough to the prototype is a win to me.
