So the 40D utilizes it's LCD screen as a viewfinder? Might have to switch to that one then since i hate the little viewfinder on the XTi after having gotten used to my p&s. Does the 5D have that same feature?

Natural light pics coming up later Yury, some of us have to work you know

5D is way too expensive for an amature I think. But 40D seems to be more than perfect. Can't wait to test it out!!!

Right guys, I need a UV 77mm for my 24-105mm L!

Is the "green series" the one to buy or the multicoated or the Pro or are they all the same?

Please check out the links below and recommend one.

yeah, i was surprised to see a live view on the LCD screen when my uncle showed me his new 40D. it's cool but i've gotten so used to looking at the viewfinder now. that's the one change everyone makes from a P&S. the 5D doesn't have this nor does it have a built-in flash. it's geared as a pro-sumer camera.

It has a build in LCD with extra features.

What do you think?

it's not as expensive as say a 1D or 1Ds! the mark iii versions of those cost $4,500 and $8K! the 5D is _only_ about $2,200. i'm an amateur but who says we can't have nice gear too.

It's easier to look at the viewfinder when taking pictures. I guess looking at the LCD screen will be more appropriate when it's harder to bend or at hard angles.

But that's like double as much comparing to 40D.

And you are not an amateur comparing to us

Would you go for one or would you take the original one?
