Green Zone 7/10 - Good, solid film overall, but just lacks the punch that it should have had.
Django 7.5/10 - Not the best directed or edited Spaghetti Western, though it certainly has it's moments, particularly during the opening and closing scenes, which are both superb. Still, this is mostly memorable for Franco Nero's largely amoral coffin dragging protagonist, who became so popular back in the day that about twenty eight billion unofficial Django sequels, spinoffs, and cash-ins were made to ride on this film, and the character's, coat tails. A couple of them were actually even pretty good. Most weren't. An official sequel would finally be made in the mid 80's, with Nero finally returning to the title role, but I've never had a chance to see that. Takashi Miike also did a loose remake a few years ago, which was interesting, to say the least. Oh, and try to watch the italian dub with subtitles, as the english dub on this one is a bit weak, especially whoever they got to dub for Nero who just doesn't fit at all.
Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel 9/10 - Takes a few minutes to really get rolling, but once it does it's one of the cleverest and most enjoyable films I've seen this year.
