I've got the McFarlane on PO with BBTS.... not sure what is going on with the price. I purchased it originally below $100. Then some email came out saying production cost more, and they bumped me up to $115. Now it's listed at #135 (my order still says $115 though)??
FWIW DC would be crazy not to make the McFarlane piece into a color Designer Series statue.

I hope they do the Fabok and Gotham by Gaslight in 1:6 as well.

I'm surprised they haven't done the original Neal Adams in 1/6 yet.
I'd still like to see b/w versions of John Byrne and Don Newton Batman.

I think because we ordered when it came out they gave us a discount on the price bump. But yeah, he's way more expensive than all the others even though the price on all of them has slowly risen over the last few years. This $80 for a 1/10th scale statue is a little off putting, I generally look for discounted pricing. When they hit $100 I think I'm done even if I can get a discount, it's just too much for smaller pieces.

So with DC splitting from DCD, I'm wondering if/how their collectibles are going to be distributed.
I guess they could distribute with the same companies now handling their comics, or they could use a single distributor for their collectibles.
I also wonder if they're going to give retailers the same discount tiers. It used to be the more DC you ordered the larger the discount you got, which allowed a lot of retailers to do incentive discounts on DC items for people that would pre-order or their subscribers.

They already give DCBS, Midtown Comics, Ent Earth, and Amazon bulk discounts on statues, action figures, etc. Since DCBS and Midtown Comics are the "new" preferred distributors, nothing will really need to change beyond Diamond losing DC's business.
Oddly Walmart often has the best prices for DC statues. Amazon is usually a price follower, PMing Walmart instead of being price leader.

Those are some large retailers though, who probably have very large DC orders to begin with.
I think this is going to really hurt the local stores that were able to give discounts on DC merch because of the discount tiers DCD provided, unless, like I said, DCBS and Midtown continue those tiers.
I'd like to see what is going to happen to the Local comic shop with this break.

I can see stores splitting into three camps:
1) some will stop selling any new DC merch entirely
2) some will stop carrying new floppies but will have collected paperbacks and hardcovers (which they can get from Penguin instead of their competitors)
3) some will special order if customers want something, but otherwise only sell Batman-related titles (other characters sell abysmal numbers).
