From up close looks like the chain mail lost a lot of detail.

Definitely a few areas I wouldn't be thrilled about, but nothing horrible in my opinion.

yeah its hard to judge, some of those closeups are the equivilant of your nose being 2" away. Pics are kind of washed out also which grabs attention toward imperfections. I know the statue being perfect with extreme closeups is ideal but not quite a dealbreaker judging from pics alone. So far we got 2 wins out of 3... not bad as far as first pics go

tbh the head chanmail was never really that well defined, it was the paint that brought it out, the paint there isn't ><

I would be happy with that one if I received it.

This whole buying experience has been a little frustrating. The fact that we were lied to about the packaging material still doesn't sit right with me, and then trying to blame it on us buyers made things even worse. They haven't even showed the Atlantis statue yet. I feel like I've been kinda left in the dark over the last couple years and these last couple months there's been a lot of chain yanking. I'm almost to the point where I just want my money back.

Im not seeing the same issue in these pics, it may be just this particular one, or maybe the lighting making things look better/worse.

no reason to freak out yet

I think it looks pretty much like the one on the ARH site. If you want to really get the Frazetta feel you will display it in a dark room with a dim light over it... It doesn't really come from a "bright" painting. All in all, it's a solid statue. I think everyone is going to be more than happy when it shows up on their door step.
