I think that is just the effect of the break.

Wonder how it happened. Pressure from being in the box? Cold temperatures making them stiff? I'm surprised they didn't just bend.

Dunno maybe poor packaging design that was too tight or let the piece move. Maybe some cold made them more brittle too.

These are a little bit different then the jungle hunters I believe as they are straight instead of curved. I wonder if they are flexible at all?

No flex in the quills, absolute joke!

I've got six broken and a bag of spares.
The instruction sheet tells you to fix any broken quills?!
How the hell am I meant to glue a tiny quill to a broken stump?

Paint on the armour looks great but the actual skin paint is pretty average.

No way am I spending 4K on the full statue now.

After that, it looks good, although it will always be below the proto ... but I can't wait to see mine, I just hope there are no breakages or defects.

The way it was packed with the brow resting directly against the polystyrene you'll be lucky to get no broken quills.

Why the heck didn't they stick with rubber?!

I have 3 JH portraits with perfect quills.

Oh, BTW. I'm STILL waiting for a replacement torso on the JH many, many months later.

OK, just checked my JH and they're not as flexible as I thought. They would also break if pushed against.

The issue is the way this was packed with the brow coming in contact with the polystyrene.

Damn you got to be kidding. So they packed these face down without any of foam cushioning around the head? Those quills aren't exactly easy to just fix yourself like they expect. That's some bullsh**. Luckily for me I passed on this one. I've had my share of bad packaging, so I know the feeling. Sucks.....
