I thought it looked very close to the prototype. Also, I just remembered that there are photos floating around the net from Monsterpalooza including a blog post we put up that shows off an Alien King Production Sample that was at that show as well if you were interested in checking it out.

The egg is a little over 5 inches high, so I believe it's considered 1/5 scale.

Hi, SSAlex.As you mentioned that sideshow recently received a production sample of the Alien King maquette, are you able to say if collectors will need to assemble some parts of the King, and if so, which parts will we need to assemble ourselves?Cheers!
