Yes, that's right I totally agree, unfortunately some people use one argument to put a character on a pedestal and that same argument to complain about a character...

Yes the writing more or less is bad but I look at Rogue on average and she able to do that with Ms. Marvel, Thor, Juggernaut and Colossus. The only being she had trouble with was Mojo because he is so foul. If written correctly she should be the most dangerous because she can steal your power and not just one.

But how can you use that argument to rationalise a decision, when you said I couldn't use that exact same argument in the Sin corps vs Asgardians thread?
I said that Anti-Monitor could wipe the whole of Asgard out of existence, and you said that wasn't a feasible argument because he had not destroyed every reality he went against, or words to that effect.
If written correctly, Black Adam, with the power of 7 Gods and over 7000 years experience, should be able to beat anyone, Thor, Superman and especially Rogue.

Hulk always wins!!! Unless he is the child like hulk but in reality, we cannot conclusively decide who would win because comic powers are as unpredictable as the joker!
Writers operate on peaks and troughs for each character.
The only real valid way is to take some sort of average of each individual's powers and fully assess the vs. argument. Are we talking about a full, at their prime and the world is at stake hero or a kill everything because i have lost everything villain? Do we base the power of the character on all writers interpretations? Or only valid and consistent versions? To argue about such high level'ed characters is really in itself a challenge as since these characters have faced such other characters of high level that we must compare those as well. We also must look at the original intention of the character. I'm not a dc expert or novice for that matter but I think DC operates on a much grand power level of characters. They have gods left and right whilst marvel as more cosmic alien type characters though smaller in number. Pluz we all have bias. I say the hulk when another says superman. Good day.

Once again you don't get what I'm saying. I'm looking at what Rogue has done not how she should be. Rogue has defeated Thor depsite all his years of experience. She just touches you and bam she has you. Once again I'll say it, I can put a Xmen team together that would get murdered by Adam and I could put together a team that will murder him. Your augument is that no matter which X-team I put together Adam will murder them and that's just simply not true.
