Well in fairness The Clone Wars was planned as a 5 season series before Disney came into the picture. Based on it's success it seemed it was going to go beyond that however. Then the Disney buy out happened and they wanted to move to Rebels. So the way I see it is we got an extra half season with the sixth either way you cut it.

yeah I know it was just getting really good though, season 5 and 6 were pretty awesome (mainly cause of the ramped up sidious presence)

actually I read somewhere, that by the time season 5 ended, it had started to get a bit dark for Cartoon Network, and then the buyout by Disney. I reckon that they would have faced the same dilemma in terms of where to air it for the right audience. I suppose us having a full release on Netflix of the entire completed arcs rather than just 6 episodes is already a victory for us all since most of us were disappointed and resigned to not seeing the episodes seeing the light of day!

yeah things were infact getting pretty dark end of season 5 and season 6, I remember watching and thinking that this show is kind of too intense for kids lol but that's why its so good

Good point. Without the Disney buy-out we may never have seen anything past Season 5. Cartoon Network is notorious for pulling the rug out from underneath quality shows.

I love Netflix!! We haven't had cable in over 4 years and we do not miss it. It is a great investment and you get to watch your favorite movies and shows. Right now, we are enjoying the Clone Wars back to back (my wife and I ).

I finished watching through the final season

I liked the clone trooper / order 66 story arc best. The Jar Jar arc was the worst. Why didn't they kill off Jar Jar like we all wanted to see?

The banking (clovis) arc was kind of lame. Yoda arc and the Obi-Wan/Anakin arc were decent.

Sad to see the show go, but it had a decent run and six season were more than I thought we were going to get.

Dave Filoni thanks the fans

Not too much in the way of spoilers there I suppose.

The show could have had so much potential. Well at least one of the arc lines featuring Darth Maul will make it to comic form as "Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir"
