The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

His tip about Steve Erwin translated into an incredible commission that has to be seen to be appreciated. So, go see it already.

Thanks again, DamonO!
Fantastic commission brother! Love the landscape view with the unique backgrounds! Steve's pencils are spot on as usual!

I agree about Erwin. I got a commission from him last year. He only lives about 30 minutes from my house, so I set it up with him and instead of mailing it, we decided to meet up at a local coffee shop. The guy is simply awesome. We got to sit and chat about art, the business, life, etc for over an hour over hot coffee. I had asked for a two character commission of Deathstroke (I have the full run of the 90's issues, which Steve drew so excellently) and The Ferret (a little known Malibu reboot from the early 90's that Steve also drew). The Ferret was just one of those oddball characters I loved for some reason as a kid. Steve came through big time - he inked the piece himself, which I had asked for. The icing on the cake was that he actually drew it on an old Malibu art board that he found while digging through some art supplies! I couldn't be happier. Now, if I could just get it scanned and added to my CAF portfolio, I'd have a great picture to go along with the story.

I do have a pic of it on my iphone, so if someone could tell me how to embed it into a post, I'll try that.

Hey Ghost, Great story about Steve. Malibu Comics Ferret was a great character. You can upload that scan from your phone to photobucket and post it here. That generally works for me. Look forward to seeing the piece.

I actually just went ahead and posted it in my CAF gallery, which I haven't updated in like 2 years. I'm way behind. Sorry for the blurry pic. Here is the link: http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryP...08&GSub=153909
