As of this post, none of the 19 hostages have left feedback, or the dude from the original message.
That's fine though.. they will all take a trip to Blocked bidder land on Monday.
My resolution is to keep the caption in my auctions and to insert a slip of paper in each box asking them to leave it first. If they don't, no worries. I still won't -ever - leave it first again. If they don't, I won't and I will just wait for them to drop out of the feedback queue.
I will never send follow up PMs again though, that's for damn sure.

Well I released 10 hostages and sent 10 notes. I got 2 return feedbacks and one of them wants me to send them a message when I get the next batch up. I tried the note thing in the boxes, it worked for a while, but I got lazy. We just have to come to grips with the fact that some buyers just don't leave feedback.

2 out of 10 is a start
And for the record the same for sellers can be said
as some just wont leave feedback.
It all depends on where you're standing.

Ok I'm probably going to get reamed for this but.............why do you (not just CB, any seller) care so much if everybody leaves you feedback? I know you all sell a lot and I'm sure a bunch of people do leave feedback, whatever percentage it is. As long as your overall rating is high why do you need EVERY buyer to leave feedback?
I know it doesn't take long to do it and its a courtesy and so on but really, as a buyer, I just look at their percent positive. If its high I just buy and don't worry about it. After this thread though I am going to start making an effort to leave feedback.
Before I did it on a basis where if I didn't have anything better to do...

I totally agree. This whole thread just doesn't make any sense to me.
If I am understanding - people actually block buyers that don't give feedback from buying their future listings? So, I buy something from you and the transaction is perfect but you won't sell to me again because of feedback? Does the phrase "Cutting off the nose to spite the face" ring true to anyone else? IMO, if you have a high feedback number and a good percentage, additional feedback is almost worthless so blocking the buyers that have proven that they like to buy what you sell and pay you on time is a self destructive habit. You could have 700, 1,700, or 7,000 feedback as s seller - if they all have a high positive percentage I see them as equal. To me the bigger point would be to avoid negatives - so a positive feedback and a non feedback are almost equal in my eyes. Maybe I am missing something?????
