I'm hoping Scott Marshall can have a go with mine.

Scott's great at Predator stuff but does he even in to the Alien? Went through his entire FB album and didn't see any Alien pics.

I think he's great at detailed and precision sculpting. Doesn't take an interest in the subject matter to be good at something.

Honestly, V. If the artist/craftsman is not familiar or interested in the subject. It's never gonna work. Passion and love drives everything.

It's up at the HobbySearch.
Special Version http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10168169
Normal Version http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10168168
With the points I got from them for the bust and a damage compensation, it becomes a great deal for me to get the SV(less then $1000 shipped) or NV(less then $700 shipped and I like the slightly reflective/metallic looking base) instead of the LESV. Humm....since the paint scheme of the will be the same with SV, I think I can live without Sig. and COA.

Thanks for posting that up THX!
I'm CONFUSED!
Is the special version being sold on HobbySearch coming with Sano's signiature?
You also mentioned LESV?
Cheers!

I love the way they offer different versions. I wish Sideshow would offer their big pieces the same way.
I'm tempted to get the Special, too.
One thing I don't like is that they didn't add the shedding skin texture. I'll have to find a way to replicate that on my kit.

I much prefer the price points on sideshow pieces. For the price of the special edition, you would get a 1/2 scale piece from sideshow. I agree the quality wouldn't be at the same level, but it could always be tweaked. This pieces are great, but very expensive.
Over $400 for a kit is not cheap for something that size. and someone just might go and recast that kit. And then it's like a complete loss.
I wish the prices were a bit more affordable on this line.

No, the ones HS is selling does not come with Sano's sig.
For me, I can live without sig. and whatnot, the statue itself is what's important. There should have been 2 versions only anyway.
LESV is the one with the whole sha-bang.
