I wasn't aware it was his second language. My humble apologies, Rider.

I'd say the Boycott is not in progress or never happened. As a wise person once said.. "It's the economy, stupid" any slowdown on the 'Bay is cuz people don't have the discretionary income they used to have to go out and buy a bunch of crap they don't really need.

Thank God for me though that eBayers they are finding some use for the stuff I'm fencing out there.

I will personally hang in there with the crap auction site and their crap fees until Google Auctions starts and then I'm so there!

I've looked at some other auction sites and while they're good for deals they offer no incentive for me to sell there.

After a 3 month break I'm gonna start up my auctions again within the next 2 weeks.

Maybe the dip wasn't because of the boycott - but that's not what the news was reporting - and where I got my information.

Maybe I shouldn't be getting all my news from the news.

Stick to your guns, ratch. This recession didn't simply begin the day the boycott did. We've been in recession for a while now, so I'm not convinced that is the singular reason for the dip in sales. The boycott had to have at least a small part to play.

All an Ebay boycott does is make people like me think, "awesome, I can finally get The Godfather DVD collection boxset for less than 10 bucks". Except everyone else thinks that, and everybody bids, same as always.

It's like the old "nobody buy gas this week" boycott. Except that next week, everybody in the country buys gas, the corporations make the same amount of money, we all bleed the pumps dry Monday morning, and we lose.

You can't fight the corporations. Just let them make dumb mistakes, and they'll ruin themselves.
