So the MTA is planning on laying off 1,000+ employees... but the big wigs are not taking any pay cuts or anything like that.

MTA are fvcking crooks. I remember in like 2003 they were audited and had like 50 million in surplus after a judge ordered their books turned over. Then - poof - something happened (meaning someone took a bribe) and they reported a deficit in the news.
Buncha fvcking criminals. The whole system is corrupt

So let's say one million cars pass through the Holland Tunnel every day. That's 6,000,000 bucks a fvcking day! That's 180,000,000 per month not even counting weekends!
And this is one tunnel: not counting the Brooklyn battery, triboro, Whitestone, Verrazano - what about all the bus and subway fares. And you're telling me you're broke?!? You're damned liar!!!!
