Frayed 7/10 Originality really helps this from being your average slasher flick

Platoon - 10/10
I give very few movies a 10 rating. Platoon is one of them and is IMO the most powerful film ever made about the horrors of war. Its as much a story about man's internal struggle with good and evil and how most often we are our own worst enemy as it is about the conflict in Vietnam itself. As heartbreaking as it is its a beautiful film on every level. The cinematography, score and emotional attachment you develop with the characters due to the outstanding performances leaves you disturbed and touched. Truly a timeless masterpiece.

Have you ever imagined a world with no hypothetical situations?

I saw this back in '86 when it was released. As a sophomore in HS, it blew me through the back wall of the theater, and it continues to do so 25 years later. The cast is amazing, and so is each actor's performance, makes you realize what a waste Charlie Sheen became. I think I need to go get the new Blu-Ray now.

Platoon also one of my 10/10s
Moon: 8.5/10
Duncan Jones is the next best thing, loved this movie from beginning to end.
imo sam rockwell is one of the best actors in hollywood today, he doesnt get nearly enough praise as he deserves. unfortunately his next two projects are comedies, i hope he gets more chances like these to shine.
