Its unlear if there is any Directors commentary. It would be the only reason i would double dip on these.

Well then for you it is extra good value You are in for a treat.. I enjoyed the first two seasons. I only stopped watching due to lack of time (too many good shows and too few hours). So this set will be a definite purchase for me.

Don't think I'll bother with any extended additions of The Hobbit. I watched the BD again the other day and whilst I enjoyed it, I just don't feel the same magic I did with the LOTR trilogy.

I might give this another chance on BD when it gets cheaper.

I like the 3D cover. If I remember correctly, that was the dramatic scene where Tom dropped his keys
