No, I just remember that rush of feeling like, oh wow, I really can't wait to get that Triton and Karnak bust that just went up for order that everyone is clamoring for!!!!

I ended up ordeing a lot of busts/statues I really didn't want. I sold a lot of them the week I got em. I specifically remember getting the Kingpin bust and wondering why the heck I got it.

Its better, for me, when the purchases come with enough space between them to appreciate what you just got. I think forums like these somehow make people think they NEED a bust or statue that without it they never would have gotten.

i think this is true, ive caught myself a few times, wanting the ss pieces but i dont really like em and theyre too big. LOL im good tho

Exactly, I rarely, RARELY go to the bowen, sideshow, and DC boards. I can just see things when they go up for order, and most of the time pass.

but the general section is where I like to be!

Yeah, I bought Adam Warlock, and that Iron Man 2 pack just because they were exclusives and I don't even like them.

I mean, go to the boards and see how many times people say "I never liked ________, but I want this bust." They probably really don't want the bust, and they still dont' like the character, but somehow, the mass frenzy of seeing it makes you feel you aren't in with the rest of the "in crowd."

Although that's only true to an extent, cus there have been pieces that I buy at my LCS cus I think they look cool in the display then kick myself later for buying them, and it had nothing to do with the forum. I bought the Darkheart bust from the Ghost Rider movie (I even paid retail price for it) and I'm not really loving it that much anymore
