Seriously
No mix media
easy mold
easy paint
easy packaging
There is an error in that price.

Remember that even though this is 1/5 scale it is still much larger then your average 1/4 scale pieces. So price is about right. Now if you want to say that all of ssc prices are too high then that is a different discussion.

But you don't have to buy it. Something being sketchy is "fooling" someone. This is obvious. Agree about the "shouldn't just be reprints" but that just means it's stupid not sketchy.

I am contemplating on cancelling my Cap, Iron Man, and Thor. I am happy with my statue collection now, so it won't be too heartbreaking to miss out on this set. I was excited when Iron Man was first announced and the price was only $360. I figured we finally had an affordable line to collect. This is extremely discouraging.
I love Sideshow and sing their praises to everyone I know that collects pop culture items. It's getting harder to justify the pricing structure. I'm glad for everyone that loves this set of Avengers and I am sure they will all look great together, but the fun has officially been sucked out it for me. I might look at it differently tomorrow, but I'll just hang my head tonight.
